At HOBART, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment where colleagues are heard, valued and contribute. We believe we are at our best when we bring together unique perspectives, experiences and ideas.
In Germany there are the following groups and recently two representatives: YPN, PRIDE at ITW and IWN.
In the PRIDE, IWN and YPN groups, people come together who have a lot in common. They ensure that our workforce reflects the communities in which we live and work. This means that all employees can be sure that they will experience tolerance and respect at work - no matter who they are and where they come from.
The YPN - Young Professionals Network - offers the opportunity for cross-departmental and cross-location exchange and to get to know a wide variety of characters and career paths at ITW. The workshops and the development of a personal network not only enrich daily work, but also offer real perspectives for young employees. Ultimately, it's about the attractiveness of HOBART & ITW among young colleagues.
The YPN is an employee group focused on bringing together young employees across the ITW Group. The cohesion within the community of the next generation of ITW leaders is strengthened through social platforms, networking activities and development opportunities. This network has now grown to more than 2,000 members and the number is rising. YPN is the oldest ERG and therefore the best connected.
"As a HOBART employee and a committed member of the works council, the equal treatment of all people in the company is very important to me. Equal treatment and acceptance of all groups are part of the basic rights, democracy and humanity. As the contact person for ERG PRIDE, I stand for this message: No matter who and how you are and wherever you come from – you are welcome. I'm glad that there is this diversity in our company."
Pride at ITW is an employee organization for and by LGBTQ+ colleagues and their allies (allies/supporters). She wants all employees to experience a sense of belonging and appreciation, thereby promoting a commitment to mutual respect and understanding of LGBTQ+ issues. Pride at ITW was founded to expand ITW's commitment to diversity and inclusion and to attract and retain the best talent through career development and advancement, community advocacy, networking and community.
Promoting women in technical professions and leadership positions is very important. The IWN is committed to improving the compatibility of work and family. In addition, women are offered the opportunity to network with each other and support each other.
The ITW WoMen's Network is one of the oldest employee organizations. It was founded in 2012 as WLDC (Women’s Leadership Development Council). IWN measures and events are organized by regional chapters (committees) and smaller regional subgroups in order to reach as many employees as possible.
The IWN engagement is also very broad in terms of content.
