PRIDE at ITW
PRIDE at HOBART

PRIDE at ITW was founded to expand ITW's commitment to diversity and inclusion and to attract and retain the best talent through career development and advancement, networking and community.

Why is this work so important?

  • To create a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for our employees everywhere. All people who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ communities should be encouraged to contribute fully at work, regardless of whether they come out to the world or not.

  • To make the challenges of the LGBTQ+ community more visible within ITW and in the world.

  • We want to approach all topics with an open mind and encourage others to do the same. We want to actively welcome all allies to help us achieve our goals.

„PRIDE is not just a label, it's what drives us. We are proud of our diversity and the different perspectives that we bring together in the company."

Axel Beck
ITW Executive Vice President and Sponsor of the ERG-Group PRIDE at ITW

PRIDE

Proud to be yourself, no matter your sexual identity or orientation. HOBART relies on its employees and what moves them. One of ITW's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) is PRIDE at ITW, an organization focused on empowering LGBTQ+ colleagues. She wants to ensure that all employees experience a feeling of belonging and appreciation and thus promote mutual respect and understanding for LGBTQ+ issues.

Kathrin Hübner and Marcus Boschert represent the topic of PRIDE at HOBART. Marcus Boschert has been working at HOBART for almost 20 years, Kathrin Hübner for one year and a half.

Both are convinced that providing information about PRIDE is essential in the company, but it is not enough. “I could not have reconciled with my conscience not to join the ERG-PRIDE group. When I saw that there was something like this at HOBART, it was clear to me that I wanted to be involved here,” says Kathrin Hübner in an interview.

The LGBTQ+ PRIDE Flag symbolises the overall LGBTQ+ community, it was created by Gilbert Baker in 1978.
